Terms and conditions of Lessons

Lesson Cancellations
Lessons are conducted Monday to Sundays and as stated Monday to Fridays 1.30 pm onwards,Weekends subject to availability.
Any lessons that are cancelled in less than 24 hours before the lesson start time will be charged at the full rate.
Cancellations via Text messages sent after 8pm will not be read until 8am the next day, therefore any overnight cancellations will not start until 8am the next day.
However, this may be waived if the lesson is moved to within the same week, subject to availability.
Continuity of cancelled lessons will also cancel any discounted offers with immediate effect, and will not be automatically booked for the following week.

Tests
It is your responsibility to ensure you keep up-to-date with your lessons, if you have a test booked and you cancel lesson(s) within 4 weeks of your test your test will not be conducted in the provided car.

Volunteer code of practice
A Driving Instructor who gives lessons in a motor car in return for payment must be on the "Register of Approved Driving Instructors" [ADI's].
DSA and the driving instruction industry place great emphasis on professional standards and business ethics. The Code of Practice set out (details upon request) have been agreed between DSA and the main bodies representing ADI's; it is a framework within which all instructors should operate.I, Maurice O'Neill, adhere to the terms and conditions guided by the DSA as per appropriate.

 Driving tests and bookings......

Your instructor reserves the right to refuse use of a driving school vehicle for test if he/she considers that provision of a vehicle could cause a risk to public safety.

Where a school car is used for test, the booking period will based upon the instructor’s normal diary schedule. Depending on the time of the test this will require a minimum two hour booking and possibly longer.

While your instructor will make all reasonable endeavours to ensure that the vehicle supplied for test will be fully road worthy and comply with all legal requirements at the start of the test, he/she cannot be held responsible for vehicle failure that occurs during the test and is not liable for consequential loss.

Your instructor cannot be held responsible for test appointments cancelled by the DSA due to bad weather, sickness, staff shortages or other reasons. Such cancellations are beyond the control of your instructor and therefore the lesson fee and ‘use of car’ fee for the booked period will be charged.
